photo from
habeeb.comI arrived at Beirut airport via wonderful Air France yesterday. No time for the beach yet; we only zipped by the beaches on our way up the coastal highway north to
Tripoli, and from there to a quiet spot in the countryside called
Bishmezzine.

Such exotic and romantic place names! Have a wonderful holiday! With greetings from Paris! I am starting to miss my garden and my quiet life after all these masses of humanity and their machines, in both London and Paris. Guess I'm a small-city/town girl at heart.
Don't forget their nectar ( arak ) !
Have a pleasant journey !
hello marja-leena. I am sure your holiday has been full of interesting sights for your creative eye. Urban centres everywhere are congested. I too like to visit large urban centers, but live in a smaller place. You would love where I am now as it is a get away from the urban hustle and bustle. 20 k down the road, however, it is another story.
Hello Ari,
I will certainly look for arak, amongst other things this country has to offer. I tried it once years ago, but did not become a fan of it. Maybe I will have a Lebanese beer.
