Lake Superior Gala


I came across this interesting info session on Lake Superior today. Melvina Flamand, one of the Anishnawbe women who walked around Gitchee Gumee 5 years ago, will be talking. As part of the women, mothers, grandmothers of Mother Earth Water Walk and their supporters, Melvina has walked around the other Great Lakes, too. See you there!

The Lake Superior Research Group (comprising students and professors from Geography and ORPT) invites you to attend the Lake Superior Gala. The theme for this year's event is Voicing Perspectives and Looking Ahead: A Local Vision for the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area. With exciting guest speakers and a dessert auction, we will celebrate Lake Superior, create awareness, and encourage future research. Suggested donation is $5.
