10000 people rally in Toronto

photos by Parastou Saberi,

from Parastou's Facebook album GlOBaL SoliDArItY AGAINST ISrAeLi APaRtHeiD showing photos from yesterday's rally in Toronto. I met Parastou when she was doing her Masters at LU and was a TA for my husband's sociology class. Parastou is now doing a PhD at York U. Like others in Toronto, Parastou rallied to voice condemnation of Israel's violence against the people of Gaza:

"At least 10,000 people gathered at Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square to protest against Israel’s recent assault on Gaza. Protesters then marched through the streets of Toronto to the Israeli Consulate and the United States Embassy. Demonstrators called on the Canadian government to condemn Israel’s latest aggression and to cut all political, economic and military ties with Israel until it complies with international law."

You don't even need a placard today to get your message across. Just put an old shoe on a stick! A shoe to slap the face of Israel!

Happy to know this happened in my good old Toronto! However, not much news on these demonstrations which have taken place all over the world in the regular Zionist-controlled press. That's how brainwashed we are but I think people are waking up and realizing what is really going on. Thanks for your very informative posts, dearest Taina. Hugs, M.
